Shawn, Katie & Aspen were busy in December ’09 and January ’10! First, they visited north and south Alabama to spend Christmas with their families. While they were there, Shawn & Katie celebrated their 7th anniversary on 12/28 by visiting Callaway Garden’s Fantasy in Lights, where they had their very first date! Shawn also drove down to Tampa with this dad, brother and nephew (Shawn W.) to bring in the new year and watch Auburn win the Outback Bowl. Shawn, Katie & Aspen came back to California shortly after New Years and welcomed Katie’s parents for a short visit. While Katie’s parents were in California, the group went to the BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl to watch Alabama win, visited Disneyland, and saw whales on a whale watching trip to the Channel Islands. Shortly after Katie’s parents left, Shawn, Katie & Aspen visited Steamboat Springs, CO to meet Katie’s parents and sister’s family for a skiing and snowboarding trip. While in Steamboat, Shawn & Katie had a chance to visit with Jason & Stephanie Woods, who now live in Boulder, CO, and go on a horse-dawn sleigh ride. It was a busy stretch for the West-coast Burnham crew, and they welcomed a few weeks of rest before Aspen’s 1st Birthday party Blowout on Feb. 11th.
